- Dreading methods, maintenance, and products used (if you currently have dreads)
- I began at a salon using backcombing mixed with twisting (no wax only because I adamantly refused it). They did well enough, even though she advised against washing. Then 3 weeks later I went back to get the roots touched up and my hair washed. She tore through my dreads, ripped all the loops and knots out. I thought she was fixing them and palm rolling them. She made them perfectly manicured twists. I had the loops and knots laying at my feet. I hated it. She claimed it was dead hair she had gotten out. She tried to fix it by putting gel and spritz on the twists saying it would be "knotted up straight and proper dreads" which makes me cringe. I loved my loops. I found this website and used the advice to go natural, A friend and I twist and ripped my sections and I washed the spritz and gel out with baking soda and fortunately I had enough knots left that the baby dreads held through my first washing at home. I've lost a lot of length and my hair is fuzzy because of her tearing in my hair, but I have been loving my natural mess ever since I've gotten rid of the fake twisted look and gone natural.

clueless i guess and twisting caucasian hair dont work twisting the roots isnt great in any hair
i guess you would now warn against going to salons huh
