About Me
I'm nice. I love everyone. I like to tie dye things. I play video games. I like to have fun, go on adventures and stuff. I paint on pizza boxes and recyclable "trash" and make it pretty. I love musiiiic like anyone else with a soul does. I'm silly, and sarcastic, and terribly honest. I love dancing and playing with glowing things with my friends while they spin fire. I wanna learn how to spin fire myself. I write. I love dreadlocks! & so much more so ask! :)
How long have you been dreading?
3 months
Dreading methods, maintenance, and products used (if you currently have dreads)
I started them by rolling them counter clockwise and rubbing up and down, and also rubbing at the base counter clockwise. Now I don't really do anything except the base every once in awhile. I washed them with dread shampoo from dread head for the first month or two but now I just usually go for a swim in the ocean. I used wax in the beginning but soon realized that they lock up better and quicker without it so no more wax for me. :)

I have since removed all of the wax, and stopped doing anything to them except keeping them sepperated thanks to the advice of Soaring Eagle and friends from this wonderful site, my dreads are much happier, and much healthier, and I love them even more! :) :) :)

just keep them growing!! i suggest you just let them grow, try to do as little as you can besides washing them. if you over maintenance them you could harm them. stay blessed sister!!!

last year we challenged jonny clean to a debate on the wax isdsue he failed miserably at deffending his wax pushing at6=that time there wasa couple on here who were having a baby, she had to shave her waxy dreads while pregnant and gaining weight so she was heavy bald and dreadless.. her hubby had to shave his as well days before the baby was born jonny  clean defined "maturity" by how hard and stiff they got he built this machine to measure maturity  that squshed the dread and measured how much weight it took to squeeze it it was rediculouse thenhe told us how much wax  should be used i did some calculatuons and he said a2 foot long dreads should have a pound of wax added a month every month1 then he  claimed we miscalculated becaue a 1/2 inch thick dread wioy]uld have a 4 inch base so our calcum]lations were 5 times too high..but a 1/2 inch dread has a 1/2 inch base so as usual he was just makingthinggs up

absolutekly! thats why if ppl are undeer a month in we recomend they just startr over after a month o]its probly better to do the wax removal and hope for the best  the longer its in the hardr it gets

till we started working on wax removal  techniques and developing products to help get it out  most waxy dreads were being cut within 3-4 years
