"It is okay to squeeze the water out of the dreads, but NEVER wring or twist them. Over time it will thin your dreads out, as it causes breakage. Regular hair or dreaded hair is fragile when wet, please use care :) "

Yes you absolutely can keep them in perminantly, you have given yourself a great way to start off your dreads and this is a way so many people start their dreads, the ends would never need to be snipped, I was suggesting that only if you didn't like the hair they had added to yours to snipp carefully at the added hair. As far as washing just give the normal 1 to 2 shampoos with a shampoo or dread soap that does NOT have conditioner added and don't ever condition as that would make the dreads loosen. Towel squeeze as much moisture out as you can and the fact that your ends maybe straight is a good thing as they will let any stuck water fall out, closed end don't and in that case you have to be so sure to get them a dry as possible. When i had thick dreads i used toilet paper after towel drying to get the moisture out of the middle of each dread.

Hi,

I'm a new member and just seen your comments on Soaring Eagles page, the hair they used on you is SYNTHETIC and all they have done is wrapp it round and round your own natural dreads, i'm a hairdresser by trade and left working in salons because I don't like all the chemicals and SYNTHETICS they use. You would beable to undo and just snip out very carefully the synthetic hair that they have just wrapped around. All you need to do is palm roll every now and again to keep your own natural dreads in order, listen to Soaring Eagle, he realy sounds like he knows and has also lived through a few experiences with dreads. Wish you well and would like to know how you get on.
