Today I cut off a dread in order to make a shaved spot on the side of my head. Out of curiosity I decided to cut it open to see what it looks like on the inside. I was a bit disturbed. My dreads are a year old but I take pretty good care of them. I wash them with residue-free dread shampoo (from dreadlockshampoo.com) and yesterday I did a 30 minute bs/teatree oil soak followed by a 5 minute acv soak. How long have you been dreading?
Since mid March 2012
Dreading methods, maintenance, and products used (if you currently have dreads)
I used twist & rip method and I wash my hair with baking soda. I also have a bottle of DreadHead shampoo that i occasionally use. Other than washing and separating I do minimal maintenance to my dreadlocks.

welcome haha thats funny that u only use the dreadheadhq stuff on the undreaded parts but that will give u bad dandruff  its actualy made for hunting not dreads i wouldnt use anything from them
