That's the point of taking dozens of shots each a few inches apart.  That way you could layer them to make the circle.

actualy now that i think about it if thats the case then it woulfd have to be warped or folded in a way  so the top (wich was left and right top corners) would meet and overlap

i think it wouldnt be hard to duplicate iof your alot better with photoshop then i am./.lol

Could be but look at the tufts of grass on the right and the left about an inch from the top on each side.  They are identical.  like they were taken from the same picture and imposed on both sides.

In fact, the whole top inch on both sides is identical

definitely.  My girlfriends a photographer.  She had to explain it to me.  I'm sure if she really tried, she could do it, but it's not her style

Wide angle lens.  Take one shot looking at base of the tree.  take a step to one side.  take another picture.  Another step, another picture.  over and over til you're back where you started.  Then a ton of hours in editing at your computer, layering each shot over the other till it looks clean and not choppy

It is.  It's a series of shots.  But very well done.  It's really smooth

i found this photo online, forgot where specifically, it's a great shot though.
