SO there are other ladies here who don't shave under their arms right? This was my first ever picture I have shared with people. And of course no one has commented on FB as I figured.. They have on the others but not this one.

I am a stay at home mama who moved far away from all the people I know so they don't see me in real life now.

I am still super self concious about the whole hair thing. I don't know why our culture/society has made it to be so awful and gross. I have no issues and actually think I really like it.

But then I go out in public and get all freaked out about what people think. I am so not like that. I don't ever care what people think and have been a individual/rebel most of my life. But this one is really hard..

Aww that was an awesome idea and gift Valerie!!! And mine goes after my piercings too just not when nursing. xD He digs his fingernails into my gums or pulls on my lip sometimes but most of his nursing "activities" are so sweet and gentle. :) He must see under my arm  now and be like hmm thats new and interesting looking lol.

Haha, thanks nea!! <3 I'm trying to be! This is pretty new to me, I am totally fine at home but anywhere else I am still uncomfortable and def cover up...

Hehe, imo, razor burn and ingrown hairs are far less attractive than people fur.  Seriously.

On a side note BEM, my friend was nursing her son and he would reach up and start playing with his own hair for comfort.  Unfortunately, he would start pulling on it so hard after a while that he would make himself cry.  I made him a crocheted hat with eyelash yarn as a way for him to get his comfort without hurting himself.  Funny how your cub goes for the armpit hair!  Mine always reached up and grabbed at my piercings.  D:

Thank you so much Jon and Stephani! And yes Stephani I get bad razor burn as well a lot. Which just makes shaving that much more miserable. It is so nice not have to deal with that because razor burn sucks!

My girl doesn't shave her pits or legs either. I've actually had people comment on to me about it and all I can say is, "Do you see me? How can I have any issues with her having body hair when I look like a Wookie?". I don't find it unattractive, in fact, it actually makes her more attractive to me just on the basis that she is willing to go against the grain of society to be who she is instead of conforming to some societal norm just because she might get weird looks for it. Confidence is attractive as hell.

I admit, before when I was firmly in the grip of "normal" society, it would come as a shock when I saw a girl with pit or leg hair, but it was more because it was "not normal" than because it wasn't attractive to me. Now, I have so many (girl) friends who have body hair that I don't even notice it anymore.

I actually think people who go out of their way to appear like something they aren't are being untrue to themselves. Be who you are and stay true to that! Support from my end!

In the winter I'll shave my armpit's maybe once or twice the whole winter, and that's a big maybe. My leg's never in the winter. In the summer I only shave my pit's probably every two 2 weeks. And my leg's I can go about a month or so. Mainly because my hair grows really slowly, but also because I get razor burn BAD. My armpit's usually hurt for a good 2 days after I shave them. Before I had my son who will be 5 in september, I shaved everything, everyday. It was so tedious, and I hated it. I did it though because I thought I had to. I stopped shaving when my belly got too big to reach everything LOL. Since then though I've realized how nice it is to not have to spend forever shaving in the shower anymore. My husband could probably care less about it. I mean I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I shaved more often, but honestly I really don't think it bother's him at all. Guy's will be guy's whether we have hair or not. HAHA.

And I really didn't even notice until I read the comments. You really are very pretty :)

I will have to watch the video you posted soon Valerie! Thank you Tied up in knots and Heather! I have never asked my husband what he thinks lol.. I just do what I want damnit, it's MY body. :s But I know in the past when my husband has started making "suggestive" moves at me and I have been like "Nooo I haven't shaved in forever" his reply has been I don't care! SO I am not sure if it just that he wants sex more then he cares about hair or he really just doesn't care at all.. I honestly am afraid to ask him his opinion on straight up never shaving though... Because I DO care what he thinks even though I do what I want anyway..

I have not been shaving my legs either but I don't think I will be able to keep up with it... Unless I never wear anything but long skirts and pants which is what I have been doing. Baby steps right? Under arms then maybe after long enough I could do more? I mean I have just not been shaving anywhere for the past 2 months or so but I am sure that will change at some point..

I know SE but it seems to be ingrained into our brains that hair on girls is bad and even for guys like I was saying earlier. I have seen plenty of comments in my time with girls saying "Eww that guy needs to shave!" I wonder if that is a maturity thing then though. Because most of those comments I remember hearing when I was younger and I feel like I even thought like that myself at one point. SO maybe when we are younger we like less hair because people of our age generally have less hair then? Of course that sticks for many people as they get older, it doesn't change I guess. I also do remember though when I was younger I had a boyfriend who did "manscaping" (LOL) and I hated it! He would end up with razor burn all around his man parts and that certainly didn't look nice either.

Also this may sound REALLY weird but sometimes now when my 2 yr old is nursing he plays with my under arm hair lol. And when I think about if we were supposed to have hair there then all babies would probably do it. SO it is more of a natural bond while nursing. I dunno if I can explain it correctly and again I am sure it sounds weird. But all nursing toddlers like to play with things in their reach when nursing. Just another way we are physically connecting now? *shrugs*

So ridiculous all this confusion over hair! :/

@Tied up in Knots (wow, is there a shorter nic for ya?  :P  J/k)
Since you are shaving once/week, start doing it once every other week for a while then once every other 2 weeks, etc.  I know that when I do this, over time the growth is slower.  Maybe your hubby won't notice as much if it's gradual.  :)

SE:  Green sounds fun!  But I prefer that if I am going natural that it be ALL natural.  Ooh, also, the beard deco sounds pretty cool.  I know a woman who has facial hair and doesn't worry about what other people think about it.  But it's patchy, at best so nothing that can be decorated.

if you hadn't mentioned it then i wouldn't even noticed the hair. i think its awesome!

unfortunately, my husband is not a fan. i shave my legs once a week and my pits twice a week. i only shave from knee down because for some reason hair doesn't grow on my thighs. i don't mind doing it though because i'm super pale and my hair is almost black so it looks really bad (in my opinion). i wish i could stop shaving my pits but the hubs is super freaked about seeing girls with hair in the pits. society really has us girls screwed. lol:) you could always give your pitties a trim once in a while with scissors. i've seen other girls mention doing this. either way your beautiful:)
