Hokni Bea ("aunt Bea" in Chahta/Choctaw) and me
She was my ishki's favorite aunt -- I think this was one of her first times visiting our house in Chicago in the late 60's. I was 1 month old.

Thanks, luv. She was such a sweet spirit. Even as I grew up, whenever I was with her I was inspired by her quiet demeanor and gentility. She was no push-over, that's for sure. She had this incredible presence and everyone gathered around her.
