Ami, I wash my hair about once a week and i keep them separated that is all i ever do to them. Rook Bee, They are around 5 years old. and the Barrellady..sorry it took so long to respond ...I haven't been online for a while but thank you so much for the kind words!

My dreads are almost one year old now. To get me through the extra messy days, I envision what my dreads will look like 5 years from now. The picture in my head gives me the inner strength to not care how I look on that particular day. I just saw your photo and that was my vision! For any dreadies starting out, they should look at your beautiful, gorgeous dreads and keep that 5 year vision in their head. Thanks for sharing with us Faye
