i went swimming in chlorine and my dreads did get pretty bad ! , but after being bad they tightened up almost pver night , i think it depends how old your dreads are :]

They look about like mine did, minus the chlorine damage.
Yours are more free than mine, but that's fine..I've had time for mine to lock up. Try to be patient and just wash and separate and don't fear too much. Wash and let them lock up like they normally would, even if you get set back, they will get back into the groove of things. :)
