Comment by Jo Woods on August 22, 2011 at 8:54pm Actually im from Australia, and i have researched a lot of the places here in Qld that do dreadlocks the all use the backcombing and hook method, and put horrible products in your hair and proceed to charge you $800-1000 dollars for dreadlock, then request you come back once ever few months for them to do maintenance....I have decided to start my own little business, using the twist and rip method, then showing the customer some of your links about the use of these horrible products they have out there, and encouraging them to then go the completly natural way with there dreadlocks, no maintenance at all, just the baking soda wash and sea spray, i will be charging them quarter of the price!

jo the sea salt sprays better used as a spray 2 hours b4 u wash or added to the baking soda wash because u want to rinse it out after a bit whether thats 10 min or 2 hours
Comment by Jo Woods on August 20, 2011 at 4:28am I found this website a few days after i got my dreads, the lady used backcombing and the dreaded hook, anyway after finding this site i have just gone natural and will let them continue on there own at there own pace....Just a question, putting in the sea salt spray, do i need to rinse...cheers

Comment by Mike on July 9, 2011 at 2:18pm I've heard that going to the beach and soaking your hair in the water strengthens and locks the dreads upquicker? What I would like to know is, is that true?
