Dandruff...AAAHHH!

By OliviaJonas Aley, 2013-01-09

Just discovered this today...a patch of dandruff right in front of my face, on top of my head. I could shake my head and it would sprinkle down like snow. NOOO! I have never ever had a problem with dandruff before now. My dreads are about 50 days old.

My washing regimen as from day one:

1-2 days a week washing with 1/2 cup baking soda/ half gallon (too much?)

2 capfuls acv per half gallon

10 drops teatree oil

10 drops rosemary oil

10 drops lavendar oil

I let the bs sit on my head for maybe 3 to 5 minutes then I rinse with almost cold water for about 1 minute. Then I do the apple cider vinegar ( I should mention that my last two washes were done without the vinegar rinse...) and rinse it out shortly after. I then try to rinse with as cold as I can stand water for just a short time. ( I hate the cold!)

When I started, I would do a sea salt spray and the first few times I would leave it on my head and not rinse it out after 2 hours. I stopped doing that a couple of weeks ago, and have switched to rinsing it sooner.

I do think that there may be more than just one thing that is wrong here...so I think from here I might reduce my baking soda amount and try for colder...longer.. errrr..Also, I may try the Dr. Bronner's.

If anyone has any advice, please let me know!
