welcome but rubber bands and wax are bad mistakes the wax is almost imppssible to remove and will prevent thenm from dreading right (not to mention its nasty how much dirt gets trapped in wax) knottyboys considered a scam and yu really need to get that wax out read the dreaducation dread wax truth and dread wax removal pages
Welcome. Ok. I wanted to ask what you're doing with your degree first because I'm a bio major at Drexlel University. I plan to be a mycologist. But... I have to say it. Why did you use wax? That is painful to hear. Your hair is beautiful and would have been amazingly perfect for natural locks.
Have you done wax removal sessions to get it out? wax will NEVER wash out in your normal washing. It might eventually feel like it's gone because other hair covers it up. But it will beburieddeep inside. Wax causes rotting and mold. Your hair to too nice to se this happen. I only used wax for the first 2 weeks of my first set and my locks only lasted those 2 weeks when my hair literally melted off of my scalp. I washed it once after 2 months and just the pressure of the water was enough to peel clumps of hair off my head, I lost about 1/3 to 1/2 of all my hair on my head. I felt like I was a cancer patient.
And knotty boy products are VERY harmful to your hair and health in general.
Ok, that being said, now I'll ask what you're doing with your bio degree. I love fellow science people

Welcome! I'm sure you'll find all the help you could possibly want here!
I started my dreads 9 days after you did! And I started with wax for the first 2 or 3 days, then learned the harm it does in the long run.
Upload some more pics so we can see your progress and how you're doing now!
