There's no reason to wait any period of time.

And nope, that's all you have to do. Wash 2-3 times a week and separate them as needed. You probably won't have to start doing that until you are a few weeks in, though. Nothing is needed to prep. Unless you used any gels or products. Then you need a good clarifying shampoo to get it out. 1 wash should do, 2 to be safer

Welcome. Be aware, that no matter how you start, i will take about a year for them to mature and not look kind of goofy. TnR and back combing don't create locks right away. They are only used to create a vaugue blueprint of where your locks will form. When you wash, they fall apart, leave them. Trying to TnR them again, will only start your process over, and will prolong your progress
