Aloe is conditioning, I wouldn't recommend it unless you really need to look spiffy for something. It could slow down, halt or even back track your progress.
You can get a biotin supplement at supermarkets and health food stores.
Yup. Your hair is constantly growing. You always have new hair coming in and old hair falling out. It's just not something we notice.
I think if you're worried about the thickness of the dreads, separate as needed into a whole bunch of smaller babies. Maybe pencil sized. You'd have a lot of locks and your hair would look really thick and full!
Thank you Mons your comment is s muchappreciated. Will take your advice and go with the leave and patients part for now i'm not too worried about the scalp showing more worried about the thickness and I hear that dreading allows for new hair to grow and replace is this true?
I know there's something to take for thickening up hair but it escapes me at the moment. Biotin might help, it makes your hair grow. But I'm thinking that when your hair sections more, then new growth comes in (all that loose hair everyone has questions about) it'll look fuller. If you're worried about scalp showing, I'd wait to see what happens and your dreads mature. If you're worried about dread count and the appearance of a lot of hair, make sure you have all sorts of different sized dreadlings. Big ones provide volume, small ones fill in and give body. Or vice versa, I can't remember right now.
