nikki I backcombed mine in about 3months ago I did use wax (mistake!!) and it slowed down the dreading process quite a bit. Now that I havent put wax in for a good two months they are dreading quite nicely My hair is quite a bit curlier than yours and was about as long as yours , now that they are dreading quicker my hair is up to my shoulders and Im getting alot of loops , they will however even out over time I am told. Dont get freaky if they dont look the way you want right away, its a journey... lori
