Glad you'be been inspired! It's a long strange trip, but a beautiful and spiritual one as well. My locks are going on 9 months now. No secrets really. Tons of attention and maintenance till 6 months. Started with backcomb and crochet. Still tie in loose hairs at scalp gently using crochet hook to tuck them in. I bead up at the roots time again and once roots are tightened, continually rotate the beads. I live on the sea, so use a salt water and essential oil spritzer for extra locking or dip a lot when its warmer...used to squeeze excess water after shower and palm roll afterwards up to 6 months. Still do on occasion. Now that that has stopped, am getting the little hooks in wax dread here and there. I crochet them into the dread or just accept their personal originality and leave them. Well happy dreading!!
