Just curious as to what sleeping with a beanie will do for my dreads? I just bought a brand new beanie so I was wondering if it's helpful to wear to sleep.

Can anyone tell me if it's a good idea to wash with bath salts? I heard it helps dry the dreads. I have eucalyptus bath salts. If so how should I apply? I'm sitting in the tub now debating. I have no baking powder @ the moment.
Dreadlocks need to unravel in the beginning. For the first 1-8 months, you should see them untangle and retangle. Over and over after every wash. Don't stop this. If you prevent your hair from unraveling, it will never tangle and knot.
And dreadlocks are fuzzy. Face it. They will never not be fuzzy. What you have to remember is that you are looking at them from 6 or less inches away. You see every tiny hair. No one else you meet will see them that close. From even 2 feet away, all of those fuzzy hairs melt into the background and you can't see them anymore.
Welcome. From Eagles comment it sounds like you crocheted. Did you? Crocheting in the worst method to maintain locks. It rips hairs to shreds and weakens your locks.
Just let them be and heal on their own. The roots should NEVER be "fixed". Just wash and separate as needed
Course!
