I don't have too much to say, only that it is my 9 month dreadversary and I couldn't be happier :D

June 1 came a lot quicker than I had intended and now I have nothing to say.. : S

I will say that last week was a very trying week for me because I had been very sick(since about Friday throwing up and the like) and on that following Monday, mom took me to the ER and it turned out that I was dehydrated. I had laid in the bed for around 3 days and he friction of my pillows really did a number on my dreads. The ones in back are really getting solid and I LOVE it. I just wish they would grow longer..

Anywho, the doctors gave me a liter of fluid and sent me home to rest up and I have been doing great ever since. That's pretty much all that has happened in the last month

I'm gonna try and post some pictures of my babies and their progress later in the week.

So I am 4 months away from my one year mark! How cool is that? :D

I'm a few days lat at making a blog post but I figure better late than never.

So not terribly much has changed since last month but, I will say that I have started stretching my ear lobes. I freaking love it too. I'm only going to 00 but ya know. The dread process and stretching my lobes is a cool journey. I am currently at an 8 at the moment and I think I will go to 6 probably by the end of next week.

I finished my Spring semester of college last week and I have decided not to go for the Summer semester. I think I'm gonna kick back and take a much needed rest from it all. I have been going year round for the last year and a half. I'm so burnt out with it for now. I think the break will do me some good so when I go back I can really put in the time and effort for my classes..

Other than that, I am doing very well and so is everyone in my family.. :D

Hey there guys!

So I have been meaning to update with my progress but everything has been so crazy lately.. Anywho, my dreads are 7 months old as of April 1, 2012 and they are looking about the same I suppose.. Well actually a few folks on the street have said that I have "cool hair" or "nice dreads" which is comforting because I always feel like they don't look like dreads.

Anyways, a few things have changed in my life. I have decided to stretch my lobes and I have also taken a liking to the vegetarian lifestyle. It suits me more. hmm, what else....... Oh, my sister has been on the fence about dreading her hair as well and I think she might actually do it..

Other than that, everything else is pretty much the same. I'm gonna post some pictures later on in the week when I can find my camera :S

My dreads are 5 months old today woot!

As some of you may or may not know, my dreads started out as twists that I re-twisted about once every 3 weeks and then it dawned on me, this is a waste of my time. So I stopped re-twisting and have let them dread on their own accord and the results have been tremendous.

They have come such a long way in these short 5 months and I'm looking for more to come.. The dreadies are essentially (for the most part) dreaded.. There is just like an inch or 2 at most on the ends of each that aren't dreaded..

In my opinion, they have progressed quite rapidly in the past month or so. All thanks to not re-twisting anymore. For reals its not necessary.. Here's to 5 months and many more to come!

So tomorrow is my 4 months of dreads and I really couldn't be happier.. I would update tomorrow but I won't be able to considering I have to work overnight at my job and will be dead tired by the time I get home.. Anywho........

I'm so glad that I decided to do this and I really cant wait to have dreads that reach my waist.. I have totally accepted myself for who I really am and I am learning so much about myself and those around me and I really have a more open heart and mind theses days..

Tomorrow is my 3 month dreadversary. I'm so excited that I could literally pop. I have encountered a few dreadies that have decided to join forces with those around them and that's fine by me. I just slap a bead on them to help em out. I have also noticed that all of the dreads are actually staying together and not falling apart anymore so I can massage in shampoo or whateves without any worry.

I feel worlds more confidant now than I ever have and I feel like more people are opening up to me and falling in love with me. Men and women alike. (there is a guy in my Biology class that will do anything to hold my attention, never mind that I have a boyfriend lol) and the compliments are flying out the yin yang. I have always been the type of person to go virtually unnoticed but these days I attract so much attention. I have no clue how to deal with it really.

In other news, I am so ready for this semester of school to be over.. I have 1 more week then I am free for a month. Woo!!

Also, I am loving what my dreads are teaching me day in and day out. I am more accepting, loving, caring and forgiving than I have ever been. I cannot wait to experience all that is coming in the future.
