Welcome. Crochet, though, will only destroy your locks. It breaks your hairs into smaller and smaller pieces, which makes them weaker and weaker. Eventually they can snap off in places. They can even snap off at the root, leaving bald spots.

Palm rolling, also, does only 1 of 2 things. If you don't do it much, it will not create lasting knots. If you do it every day, it will destroy your locks. I have a video of what only 2 weeks of palm rolling did to my locks. 6 years later, I am still trying to fix the damage
