Welcome. Coconut oil will only condition your hair. There are better oils out there for locks. Teatree, Rosemary, and Peppermint are the 3 big ones. Always dilute essential oils with a lot of water, or jojoba oil. Most are very caustic to your skin in high concentrations.
Also, don't try to tighten the tips up. Blunted tips take 2+ times longer to dry
