Vickie from DreadlocksShampoo.com has natural soap and shampoos made specifically for dreads. I would recommend this for yours. They work in hard & soft water, and leave no residues.
Maybe start by using a anti-residue shampoo to remove any residue caused by your shampoos & gels. Neutrogena sells a good one, but should only be used 2-3 times a year. Then use Vickie's dread care products.

welcome but wouldnt use dreadhead anything the shampoo is highly toxic in fact its a hunting shampoo not a dread shampoo
jonny cleans dads in the cosmetics biz jonny just repackaged crap for other purposes as dreads products..lock peppa is actualy a cat ear hair remover
the dreadhead shawmpoo causes dandruff psoriasis dermatitis balding and cancer
as a hunting shampoo its only keant tp safely be used a couple times a year
