It is too harsh for regular use...I would say not to use it more that 4-5 times so you don't irritate your scalp...and use mainly on the dreads not the scalp

DHHQ shampoo could cause dryness. If you want something soapy go for Dr Bronners, tough it doesn't work with all water types. In some places(like were I live) it doesn't rinse out all the way and leaves lots of residue.Or you can use baking soda. 1tbsp or BS in a cup of water. Soak 5-10 mins then rinse w/ water. Then 1tbsp apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and soak 3 mins and rinse with water again. It's a soak so no scrubbing or bubbles but it cleans really well. You can add essential oils to make it smell good.OOR if you want a nice smelling shampoo, you can go to the DREAD SHOPS link at the top and buy a homemade shampoo bar from there

That's awesome! I would still recommend washing with dish soap(dawn) a several times to get any residual wax that may be left. You hair will dread so fast without it
