Been playing for about a month now and am finding PlayPoi.com really useful. Just getting to grips with 3 beat weaves, windmills, hip and shoulder reels and putting them all together so I can turn. Also been figuring out butterfly (normal and split time) and 3 and 4petal flowers. Really loving it and finding the whole process very hypnotic with the odd whack around the head bringing me back to my senses.I find that the 20 mins practice I intend to do ends up becoming a couple of hours
I took a couple of photos of myself at night with my glow poi on long shutter speeds and ended up with crazy trails. Think I need to experiment withfaster speed shutter settings.
How long have you been doing poi? Any pointers for a newbie? Like little things that are worth taking a look at early to help with things later on?
