define 'look rough' i looove www.dreadlockshampoo.com (for your hair type the bars, not the liquid)  if any of the mango lime stuff contained wax you might also want wax b gone  from the same site ..

you likely do have some buildup so i would ask her (the woman who runs dreadlockshampoo) if the charcoal deep cleanse will remove residues from mango lime and head and shoulders (the charcoal deep cleans is not yet added to the site so youd have to request it by using the contact form)

post a few photos so i can see whats going on

welcome 2 suggestions 1 palm rolling does nothing at all! (unless you do it obsessively then its pretty harmfull!)

head and shoulders should not be used on dreads (there are natural dandruff shampoos made for dreads) and the mango lime stuff is terrible! some contain plastics waxes and petroleum!  some build up so badly they turn black dreads a greyish white
