if your thinking twisting then you have the kinkier type afr4ican hair thats far more easily damaged by backcombing wich is njot recomended
butthat ytype grows up not long so i assume you have straighter hair in that case if its african hair (what some call "good hair but i despise that term) then combb coils or twist and rip are best not twisting or backcombing
but im guessing your not african american and you meant twist and rip not twisting
if so then tnr is far better option then backcomb
though i would highly recomend you try the natural freeform route 1st
so many ene up starting over naturally if they tnr or backcomb
its best to at least give it a try 1st
