I'm a first time traveler. I haven't left this town my whole life. I am on a college budget, so I don't make any money.( I dont care about money). A very close friend and I are taking a huge step by wooffing in Maui. Wwoofing is where you exchange work on a farm for food and shelter. I've yet to contact any of the farms and right now I am exploring the www for wwoofing reviews. If anybody is an experienced wooffer, please give any advice you have to offer.

I have always had the urge to travel, but What I had in mind doesn't mesh with my girlfriends ideas.  She is very attached to her family, and doesn't want to move too far away from them for long periods of time.  We  settle for going hiking and camping a lot during the summer.  So far, West Virginia is my favorite place to be.  I haven't taken her there yet, but will soon.  Does anyone have some recommendations for places we need to go?  We're getting married in 2 months, and our Honeymoon will be to Ireland.  But traveling abroad is not much of an option after that because I am not working, so money will be tight.  Where do you guys think is great in the US?  preferable the east coast.  We're from Pa.

Hello fellow travelers! I'm new to the dread family, but already feel much love. I've traveled around much of Europe and I'll be visiting some places in Southeast Asia in the next year. I've been living in South Korea for a year and I'll be here for one more before moving south. If any of you are in the part of Mother Nature's back yard feel free to get a hold of me - I love meeting people and sharing experiences!

This is my first Gathering and i would really love to get there this year. So if any of you guys are coming near here or dont mind coming through Glenwood Springs and picking me up that would be awesome. Loving You! Peace

Hi everyone, wanted to say hi as |I'm new to the group. Decided to go travelling from the UK for at least a year maybe more in Jan 2012, looking for any tips, tricks and fellow dreadies to maybe bump into, spend time with and to give realistic advice about it all, as I'm a little clueless! Peace :)

i dont care about money, and it sucks how it makes the world go around in so many ways, i dont want to be stuck in a misreble job where i earn lots of money, id rather the odd job and using the money to visit a new country, in july i managed to do a euro trip of italy, paris, prague and holland for 100 quid.. i took 100 pounds with me also and this managed me for the whole month i was there, my friends all thought i would fail and really stuggle with money, but i had the best 4 weeks of my life. i used a website called couchsurfing.org, completly free way of staying in a new city and u meet some absolutly rediculously amazing people willing to let you stay int heir home and share their lifestyle, cant wait until i have some more cash from somewhere so i can see more of the world. memories are meant to be shared so get out and live!

My all time dream is to just pack up and go, wherever the wind blows me. With no stress about money or the who, what, when , where or why's. I believe that when you're on your death bed, your most memorable moments will come from the times when you took a chance and made some amazing memories on the way. I'm not sure any one actually says "I'm glad I never travelled and stayed home so I could save money..." I can't be sure but I know I won't : D

Hello fellow travelling dreadies! I'm hitting the road with my significant other and the kids next week for 2 weeks of Namibia. We've got a very fuel efficient 4x4 that switches to 2x4 for town/tar, it's a double-cab vehicle with a short truck back (we call them bakkies here). We're usually campers on our travels, but this time will be staying in backpackers accommodation in various places, including Maltahohe on the edge of the Namib Desert for the other half's birthday. More exciting trips planned for next year to the Transkei and Mozambique. I love this travelling life.
