the peaceful who appose war are not completely passive, pacifists yes, yet the strength and conviction they have to appose overwhelming odds in the war against war makes them true warriors of peace. the weapons we wield, love, hope, and dedication

the peaceful warrior
this group is for all those who stand up for peace. those who dont just sit idly by and believe war is inevitable and peace just a pipe dream.
almost the entire world hopes for peace, yet so very few believe its possible.
to achieve a goal takes effort. it takes conviction, you will never have peace unless your willing to fight for peace. by fight for peace i do not mean with violence, but with the tools of peace, love, understanding, and the dedication it takes to make peace reality.
here we can discuss the peace issue from every angle, even brainstorming on how to achieve peace when the powers that be are so driven to go to war.
this is not specificaly about protest although that is 1 strong tool in our toolbelt, instead i hope it becomes more focused on real life solutions, both on a personal level, and on a global level.
believe in the goal and anythings possible, but doubt it and nothing is.

@Gaz: I agree, one person lacking the skill of critical thinking is like having a gun in thier hand and lack of critical thinking en masse is equivilent to a nuclear bomb, sadly society in general these days allow thier strings to be pulled so easily by media the puppetier.

War costs so much not only financialy but the cost on human life is to great. Every life form has a right to live. Regardless of religion or belief..
We are all born with the most powerful weapon of all, Our minds.
If only one day the message of all being different is acceptable. Then maybe we could all live in harmony. The money spent on arms could be used to develop third world countrys, and completly eradicate poverty and famin..
Peace and Love costs nothing.

Its kind of funny how easily people are influnced by what they read in the papers or see on the news. From imegration to terrorism and wars. They fall in line like sheep and frown upon the likes of us who question the worlds affairs. Never questioning what the media place before them. Empathy is some how dampend or even non existent in our society today. I only hope one day the violence will stop...

I met Dan at a Health conference I exhibited at in Philly. Hes a really lovely guy. Hes got a very Socratic outlook which I really appreciate. Very humble too.
