I have four tattoos in total but only have photographs of these two. The first one on my ribs took almost 5 hours is my most recent and is a design of my own inspired by Tim Burton and Salvador Dali. It was very painful, in fact the only tattoo Ive had done that I would actually say was painful, but well worth it. I had it done at a studio in Sheringham.

The dragon on my thigh was done in Dereham and is my third tattoo. It took about 3 hours and was done in one session. My first two tattoos are both tribal designs, one on my lower back and the other on my hip/lower stomach (sort of sits diagonally from hip going down to crotch). I had both these done at the same time and each took an hour. Both were also done in Dereham.

So, i got my clover when i turned 18 and i just finally got my next piece last weekend, almost 6 years later.  when i got my chest piece half way through the session my artist used some topical lidocaine on my chest.  after letting it sit for 10 minutes it made my chest mostly numb, which made finishing up the session way easier and virtually painless, it almost felt like a massage.  This was the first time i had heard of this, but it made it so much easier to sit still, especially on the rib sections.  Does anyone know of any downsides to using a local topical anesthetic, such as lidocaine, when getting a tattoo?

I am not sure how many I have. I do know that I am a black woman and I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on color. I have color in several of minds but it appears to be fading and when I go for my touch ups I would like to be informed on color! The red in the lips on my back is almost gone!! Help
