Comment by pyrobud on July 14, 2011 at 1:17am well i am Mexican by blood born in America just letting my hair lock. even though evrybody has their own perception of what that may mean. i belive its due to the fact that we all have been mislead thought our lives we have been told that dreads are dirty, nasty, smelly, lice infested, that only those individuals with kinky hair may form dreadlocks because of our hair type, and the main reason is that they are permanent and if you no longe want them you will have to cut my hair. so ive always contemplated whether or not i would grow my own and for some reason i just never really believed in puttind wax in my hair even though it seem as it was the only way because no matter who i ask about hte process they all said use BEESWAX no matter mat you do. And i am so glad that when i finally decided to dread my hair i was broke because the first thing i seen was knottyboy and dreadhead hq wax. so since i couldnt afford it i researched more and im very greatfull that i found this website because i would of ended up beeing another candle head wich would have made me mad and i would of never tryd to lock my hair again so thank SE for opassing on ur wisdom on to those like me who where left in the dark peace lock and happy times im out
