Just as taking too much aspirin can be harmful to your body...the use of cannabis is to be done with knowledge and respect. It is in the grouping of cannabis as a illegal substance that has made it a "gateway drug".
The medical and environmental properties are for the "greater good" of society. However there is a long process of re-education that society needs before we can truly see this herb as it was intended.

yeah that would totally sell....If It wasn't hypocritical bullshit. So worried about the public health and goodwill, yet they aren't moving to un-legalize alcohol.

If you needed to dig a hole to bury all the people killed by LEGAL drugs you'd need it to be bigger than the grand canyon. If you needed to dig a hole for all the people killed by ganja you need it to be....well fuck, i guess you wouldn't even need to buy a shovel.

Hey people. I have signed a petition last year to legalize cannabis in the United Kingdom and this is the government's reply:

Thank you for your e-petition which calls for cannabis to be legalised and regulated along Dutch lines and for permits to be granted to home owners for the cultivation of cannabis plants for personal use.

The Government’s message has always been that cannabis is a harmful and illegal drug that should not be taken. It has a number of acute and chronic health effects and prolonged use can induce dependence. Most cannabis is smoked and smoking, in any form, is dangerous. Even the occasional use of cannabis can pose significant dangers for people with mental health problems, such as schizophrenia, and particular efforts need to be made to encourage abstinence in such individuals.

The Government seeks to balance the rights of individuals on the one hand and the greater public health and welfare considerations on the other. In so doing it considers that it makes sense, on health grounds, for cannabis to remain a controlled drug whose unauthorised production (including domestic cultivation), supply and possession are and will remain illegal.

Legalising cannabis (to whatever extent and for whatever purpose) would run counter to the Government’s health and education messages. The message to all – and to young people in particular – is that all controlled drugs, including cannabis, are harmful and no one should take them. To legalise the possession of cannabis for personal consumption would send the wrong message to the majority of young people who do not take drugs on a regular basis, if at all, with the potential risk of increased drug use and abuse.

There is therefore no plan to legalise and regulate cannabis.

Check this out!!!

Vote Hemp The NDFU has passed a resolution urging "the President, Attorney General and Congress to direct the United States Drug Enforcement Administration to differentiate between industrial hemp and marijuana, and adopt a policy to allow American farmers to once again grow industrial hemp, thereby legalizing the production of ...(tharr be more)industrial hemp and its use in American manufacturing efforts, without requiring DEA licenses."Peer into the depths
