Welcome. But why use a crochet hook at all? If you haven't read through the dreaducation page, yet, take a look. It's amazing how much damage even 1 session with a crochet hook does. With every pass of the hook, you rip hundreds+ hairs into smaller and smaller pieces. This makes your locks weaker and weaker over time. And, unlike the popular myth, there is actually no way to "safely" crochet. The damage is done on the inside of your lock, so it's not visible right away. The only time it becomes visible is when your locks start to look frizzy again. That frizzieness is all of the broken hairs popping out and making your locks itchy, scratchy, and messy looking. However, this look is when most people think they need to crochet again. By not crocheting, those loose frizzy tips will get sucked back into the lock on their own
welcome but whats that whatever u feel like include cause many (if not most) of the things suggested on youtube and other well known sites are absolutely horibly wrong for dreads
