Another day with dreads.
SO today its been about 2 weeks that ive had dreadlocks. I wash my hair everyday or every other day, i have not yet had a problem with them coming out? Some people say you have to use a certine type of soap for dreads, i dont go by that i do everything the same except brush, use conditioner, and style. after after i wash them i simply part them and twist everyone because when there wet is when the cois open up and grab hold of the surrounding hairs. its very importaint to twist your dreads once a week for beginners. i would LOVE to helpyou guys with your dreadlocks and help you unerstand the belief in them thanks for reading ask any questions you would like <3
I do not conditioner my hair never have i dont like flat hair i do wish the back wolwould dread. my journey so far has been great learning and just having fun(:
well hi there, u shouldnt really b using conditioners alot if any at all tho. u have natural oils in ur skin that will be enough moisture. u can use essential oils only few drops in spray bottle will be plenty to spritz it, once in a while.there r many kinds out there. even burning incense will make ur dreds smell good too. welcome to dredlockssite dont twist too much does damage and weaken ur hair. good luck with ur journey, peace b with u
ohh ok i got ya i thought u mrant using something like wax to hold the ends of the dreads together with dreads u dont need to worry bout split ends split ends are caused mostly by...combing
no combing no split ends
you have african hair though? that requires nmore moisture more consistently
doves a bad choice u ever use dove in a tub and see that soap scum ring? thats stuck in your dreads causeing a swampy mess
use a residue remover 1st then a dread soap like www.dreadlockshampoo.com wich the bars u wont need much extra moisture after using them but if u do putre aloe (from the plant) or jojoba oil are better options
alright thank you
i wash sometime with the dove unscdnted bar soap and iuse the bed head split end mostizizer
Really? THis why why i wannted to blog. I like to learn more and more about this. My dreads strated on there own i recently twisted two of them on the bottom part of my hair where it will not dread because my hair is so fin and soft twords the bottom. What are some of your thoughts on the shorter hairs underneth?
natural untwisted notice no scalp showing no thinning of the roots
healthy
now to contrast
no hair on the scalp hairlines startging to recede into the dread sections those lines will get wider and wider till its widespread hao=ir loss
leave em they take time not twisting and they belong there
when your dreads are young the roots have to be loose caucasians up to 3 inches africans much less
as they mature they htighten closer to the scalp again caucasians 1/23 inch africans less
when u seperate they get frizz bnear the scalp these grow and dread as they grow
if you w]\twist them in you put tension on the roots causes the hairs to pull out of the scalp and stop growing back the longer u twist the more pernenaqnt the harm you see salon dreads with all that scalp showing all of them wull end up bald if they dont stop in time
what were u oy=utting on thre ends to prevent splitting? whatever it is dont and ..if its wax based u got to agressivly remove it
Please listen to SE he knows what he is talking about.
