A social network for people who love dreadlocks. The best site for learning the right ways to grow natural dreads and keep them healthy
Mikael Serres replied to Rook Bee's discussion Septum Piercing...Ladies - why?

I'm after some thicker locks to give a more natural look, but i don't know how to get them to congo. they're not doing it on its own.
they will if u let it it takes a few months just dont seperate thge roots combine
u can encourage it to happen faster bt=y oputting a bead or wrap over 2 b[near the roots
tho its really as easy as not seoperating and letting it happen
thoi u had a dread perm right how long ago?
u might not have ebnough healthy new growth yet to start congoing
..maybe..i diunno
guessing

thats why
it takes about 3 months of growth to congo
and
your dreads are so young they will c[be shrinking there wiont be much there that can congo
plus they thicken over time so it doesnt make sense tio congo this early on
give em 6 months to start thickening up b4 u even think aboyt x=congos cause they wiklk get twice as thick.then if those were congos thats 4 times as thick..u could get too big
