Hey guys, so my dreads are 5 days old now... and coming along nicely. I put some beads in just for fun on day 2 or something... and now I'm noticing a lot of loose hair attaching to the dreads and sort of enclosing the beads. I take it this is because my dreads are still forming. Should I take the beads out during this time and put them back on later when my dreads are more mature? They are cool, but I'm not committed to them enough to want them to get completely stuck in my hair.

Thanks in advance for your replies. :)

I just started 3 weeks ago with tnr. I put in beads in the first week to help keep the sections together. I've had trouble keeping them in, they'll just drop off randomly because most of the dreads are too thin/not knotted enough to hold em. For the knottier ones I have been moving the beads up and down to be sure they don't get stuck. They have seemed to help the dreading process. That's the most experience I can give at this point. :)

Maybe I'll try moving them a bit. I figured if you left them in for years or something they would dread in but wow, I'm at a week today and dreads are already forming around them. I guess that's a good sign that my hair is knotting so fast. Thanks for your reply. :)
