i took everyuthing out except a glass coil cause the bigger beads caused mustyness inside the beads
well... before that, what did you do? haha
i use beads, but i take them out when i wash and let them dry, then put them back in. of course, if you do alot of beads, its a pain to do that, and then you forget which dread they went on, which always makes me mad. I also like to tie them with thread or i did a coil the other day. i just got some 20 gauge jewelry wire from the craft store and twisted it around my dread till i liked it.... they have all different colors too. super cheap for like 8 yards of it..
Peyote sleeves are really cute; beads are always fun, too. Check out BeatleBabyGlassworks' glass dread beads : http://www.etsy.com/shop/beatlebabyglassworks?section_id=7028131 (she does custom work, too). My friend has very thick dreads and sometimes uses rings to decorate hers with; dread coils are VERY cool - here is a link to some of those: http://www.etsy.com/shop/giapet/search?search_query=dreadlock+coil&...
they are gorgeous!!

I wear a bunch of my peyote stitch sleeves, plus some awesome silver beads. I used to wear a few polymer clay beads too but they don't fit anymore now that I've separated most of my thick dreads.

at first i thought you dyed one of your dreads striped but then i realized it must be your blinds.lol:) love your dread sleeves!

I don't have any pics. On my iPod. But my friends make me hair jewelry. You know those 25 cent rings you get out if the machines? I use those too. Regular beads. Oh and chandelier ear rings. :p
where do i find some peyote sleaves?
knottysleeves makes some awesome ones. she sells them in her etsy shop (http://www.etsy.com/shop/knottysleeves)
