how long ya been married?

if he doesnt... he better realize that a million other guys would gladly take his place and love your hair

not only guys

you could have 60 husbands and 43 wives .. so ya don't need him if hes not willing to accept and appreciate you

I have told him this, everytime I start a journey. he only hates the beginning stage messy madness.

Nice! I wish you all the patience you need for your new journey! I have learned that wearing the hair down from the beginning is important for yourself and for others to get used to it.

I know it, my husband don't like dreads. But, he knows this is what I've been doing since 2002.

Separating sucks...

Dread Maintenance

I'm 14 weeks into dreading my third set and as they mature the less you'll have to separate them.

what should i do about this loose hair in the front?

Help! Save My Dreads

Mine has the same problem but which I'm not trying to dread my bangs anyways though. It does take patience for some and some just dreads faster than others. Try washing your face with a BS wash a few times a day.

Happy Dreading...

Any parents with dreads here?

General Questions

I started my third set last December and my son will be 4 this March. I don't get any remarks stating I'm a bad parent for having or wanting my locs again. YES PATIENCE is key to it all. I know a lot of people that don't have the patience that I have, but I also have some friends that thought it was weird for a country girl like myself doing dreads, as time went by they are loving them so far always touching or playing with my hair. lol

I say keep on dreading mama...

At what stage do you start seperating?

General Questions

Ditto.

separate when you feel you need too. are you going natural? if so dont worry about it for a couple months. give your hair time to section naturally and begin locking. once you start seeing knots then pay little more attention to them.
