I'm somewhere around 8-9 months and everything is coming along well but a lot of my dreads are really big at the ends. Anyone else have this happen? What happened as the dreads progressed?
The picture is a bit blurry but shows what is happening.
Thanks
im with ya! 8 months along with a similar hair type. lovin this journey and so happy to be on it. especially when people keep telling me to get them "professionally" done.
Idefinitelyrecommendtravelling, and do it now while your still young.
One thing i have learned is everything always works out, when your broke, unsure or wondering whats next the rightopportunitywill present itself.
I met a girl who has been hitch hiking all over the place. We met in new zealand and i know she has been from west to east coast of canada/US and is now somewhere in europe. Im not sure how she does it, i have been hoping for a chance to ask her myself haha.
a good place to start would be to check out WWOOFing. its a way to travel around and meet people who need help on their farms, gardens or whatever (just jump and the site and check it out) and you can help them out foraccommodationand usually meals as well. just type in wwoof and the country it will come up.
couchsurfing.org is awesome too. its a great way to meet people when you are travelling and a place to sleep.
I would alsorecommendnot having to much of a plan. just go with the flow and what feels right!
Hey Guys,
I'm going to be heading over to Aus in a few months but really have no idea where to go. Its a pretty spontaneous trip so my funds will be a bit limited and i want to find somewhere to live and work for a while at the beginning of my trip. Any travellers or aussies have suggestions on where to go and what to do?
It would be nice to find a community with some like minded free spirited people
Thanks
thanks i did do the criss cross but maybe i did it to tight theres not much space in between each one
just realized today is 4 months since i stopped brushing!
i put some wraps on a few in the back because they are wanting to all hang out. will my hair actually dread in the wraps? at this point the whole length is not dreaded, pretty much just near my scalp, some half way down thelengthof my hair.
Thanks
and when your hair is more dreaded make sure you wash it early enough in the day so that they are fully dry before you go to sleep or mold will be a problem
i am always on my feet at work and at one point i was working a lot. i had some bad back problems then too and when i went for a massage she said it all started in my leg muscles and went up my back probably because i wasn't stretching and was on my feet for so long all the time. maybe something similar is going on with you, job is hard on your body or your muscles are needing to stretch out. try a deep tissue massge, so amazing! hope you sort out whats going on soon
any conditioner will stop dreading and cause the ones you do to fall out really quick. and i would think it'd be a pain to condition only your undreaded hair without getting any on the dreaded ones. I've hear the shampoo bars on the site are moreconditioningthen the liquid though
