How do you take your vegan coffee?

General Questions

I'm not vegan, but I'm a fan of plant "milks." Ever tried hemp milk? It tastes very...earthy? IMHO, it's a much better addition to coffee than almond milk. And if you like egg nog, Silk makes a great soy nog (and yes, it's egg-free). I actually buy it just to put in my coffee/tea, haha.

who wants in on the debate

General Talk

**if done properly.

Key phrase.

I think it's a good idea. It's not meant to be hostile or an argument, it's meant to be sharing information and sharing opinions as a way of seeing where each side is coming from and promoting unity rather than judgment amongst the various kinds of people who dread in various ways. I think it can be very well done if done properly :)

I'm posting the same thing here as I am in response to that video.

Why should there be a debate over dreading methods? As long as someone is accepting of whatever the possible outcomes may entail, why can't they just do whatever makes them happy and not be judged?

I twisted my 6.5 month old neglect dreads.

Dread Maintenance

"I know dreads are not about being perfect, but they are about being happy, and my dreads being sectioned well means a lot to me."

And there's nothing wrong with that. If you're not happy with a certain style, there's really no point in maintaining it, is there? Just be careful what you put in your hair and don't do anything you think you'll regret later. ;)

When people tell you how to maintain your hair

General Talk

Oh, if I had a nickel for every time someone walked into my place of work and was like "Imma fix you up with some beeswax, no worries!" Ugh. But honestly, once I tell them that faffing around with my hair would directly contradict the idea behind freeforming, they usually leave me alone. I try to educate before I hate, haha.

I hate the smell of just hair

Introduce Yourself

Have you tried rinsing your hair with tea? Heard of a few people here who do that.

ACV ewww >_<

General Talk

How much h2o / ACV do you use? If you mix it correctly, you should barely smell anything afterward...but it does smell pretty strong, so it could take some getting used to. I've been using ACV for so long that I don't even remember if I initially had an issue with its smell, haha.
