Washing better

General Questions

Send a message to Soaring Eagle since i don't know the ratio of soda to water and vinegar to water. You can always have a google online and see what the ratios are. This is what we use for a deep clean but you can use it as a general wash aswell.

Washing better

General Questions

Firstly i wouldn't use head and shoulder shampoo thats probably whats causing the problem since it's a shampoo that has residue in it. Is this what you normally use? Maybe you could try a deep clean with Baking soda and Apple cider vinegar to get out what you can.

Will my dreads recover from months of crocheting!? help please@

crochet and dread tools recovery

Just wash, separate and leave them to do their thing. They'll soon sort themselves out. Goodluck.

Beads

Dread Accessories

I've had wooden beads in my hair from the beginning and never taken them out, 3 months in and not got a problem with them. Thats with washing every 3 days in the morning and leaving the thoroughly dry throughout the day and possibly taking a hair drying to it briefly before bed to make sure it is as dry as possible. :)

Shampoo

Introduce Yourself

It doesn't leave residue it's fine, i've been using it for months. It also makes your hair super knotty so will help a bunch. Don't use any conditioner it will only make you go backwards.

Peace and love.

How can I avoid dreads matting during washing?

Dread Maintenance

Hi Rosie, this is the same as mine and I started with twist and rip. They tangled and needed continuous separation when I came upto 1 month and just over but now I'm past 2 moths they've calmed down hell of a lot. Just have patience with them. You're meant to hear some tearing when you're departing aswell so don't panic so much.Peace and love.
