I wanted every one to know that Hayden, my little baby boy arrived Monday, February 4th, 2 months early and is doing really well! He is adorable, although I may be a bit biased... lol I will post pics as soon as I have the time.

the chat bar won't expand to show who's online and allow me to chat. Not sure what the problem is. I tried to logout so I could log back in but something is preventing me from doing that too. Help!

depends ppl that go natural it just happens so its a process thats magical and exciting pp that make em tend to then panic and worry abiut them falling out having loose hairs frizz loose roots etc etc

when u ger used to it depends alot on you and how you handle things

but

if u ever cut or comb em out..thats hard to get used to u go thru dread looss depression a feeling like u lost a peice of your soul
u dont feel like you again till u dread again

so sometime in there your dreads and you become one
you dont get used to them ..you become one with them

Dreading Methods

After I tried the tnr I did just that, left them alone. I haven't combed my hair in two days and no conditioner or products. I have gently put my bangs up in a clip, though or I can't see. lol I partially did it just to see what would happen, like an adventure. lol This feels so foreign to me! When do you get used to it?

Dreading Methods

...I found that my loc had loose hair sticking out everywhere, not just frizzies, but peices of hair. What did I do wrong? Or is that normal? My hair is 4 inches long at it's shortest parts, maybe 5 at its longest. (layered and permed)

I'm a Christian and a leader at my church. And i'ma dready! I work with youth so it helps me, they find me more accessible than a person in a suit. Anyways I let my hair grow out first for a year and have been dreading for the last 5 months. And yes, it is a very humbling and spiritual experience.

Hey! Christians can have dreads. As a matter of fact, if Soaring Eagle's post wasn't convincing enough, I would imagine that if you do it for reasons involving disregarding conventional standards of beauty and humbling yourself, it would be a MORE Christian lifestyle than many non-locked Christians live. :)

As for extensions, I saw an interesting tutorial on another board where a girl simply tied them onto her dreads. Yours would have to be mature for this.

And yeah, unfortunately many of those extremists have given us all a bad rap. Their agenda is one of oppression and forcing our "beliefs" on everyone. Many, if not all of them, can be dangerously ignorant. And they do not speak for us all.

Lol, I'm dangerously socially progressive though from their standpoint. I prefer love, understanding, and staying humble over enforcing my beliefs on others. I also prefer the government stay OUT of my church's affairs and therefore my churches stay OUT of my government's affairs!!! That can open up many a' cans of worms...

I just pray for the best and I try to live my best.

Much love!!!
