heya. mine was curly as well. and i also cut them at some point, but them they would curl again. i dont do that anymore, and a few of my locs are not curly anymore, they got tighter and straigher.

I say.... treat the rest of your body like u treat your Dreads.... keep it clean and grow it proudly..... be one with nature. i also dont shave at all.... just a bit akward when wanna wear short dresses and shorts.

hey..... i agree with baba.... i started mine that way. and works great when u have curly hair.... mine started locking after 4 weeks..... tie the ends with elastic bands to keep them from untying....don't do anything about the untidy roots until the twists locks......

oh. i havent checked that.... its difficult getting products this side for softer hair. and hairdressers are just crap this side they tie your locks in the tight patterns with wool and stuff....

i used a way remover shampoo, jabu stone.... its a dread product in SA. i can actually stick my fingers through my locks so it was easy to wash it, though i washed it like 5 times. lol
