not sure whether to go full dread,

Life Issues Facing Dreads

recently i dreaded the whole under layer of my hair. with about 14 dreads total. theyre not too noticable. unless i wear my hair half up/half down. or in a bun and let some hang. i really like them so far. i wanted to wait a while and make sure i got used to them once they locked up, but i decided already that i want to do my whole hair, except for my fringe/bangs.

the only thing that is keeping me from this is, i am still young. 19. so even though i love them right now, when i am done at university i am probably, most likely going to want to take them out. i know that you can take them out with lots of conditioner, a comb, and patience, but i was afraid that when they are all out, my hair will be very thin and short.

i already have very short hair to begin with. i had a bad experience when i was 17 with my hair because id bleached it blonde and it melted. after that i had hair way above my shoulders. it took me three years to get it just below my shoulders. its very weak from alot of straightening, although i dont dye it anymore. anyway, the point here is, im wondering, will full dreads really damage my hair that much? will it be a significant difference? i dont want to regret it :(

Help! Save My Dreads

okay, so im new to dreadlocks.

the first one i did, ive had for about three weeks now. i decided i liked it alot, and as i learned more about them i wanted more. I now have 7 dreadlocks on the underside of my hair. they are all only a few days old, not even a week yet. what is keeping me from doing my whole head(besides my bangs), is that i feel that my hair is too thin or i dont have enough hair.

like i previously said, i have 7 dreadlocks. if i was to do my whole head i would only have about 12 at most. my hair is very thin, and when straightened is just below my shoulder. so i was just wondering, will my dreads always be so sparse? i hear they get thicker with time. also, i dont want them to be too gappy and scalpy. i know this will fix itself overtime, but idk i just feel like i dont have enough hair and they dont look as beautiful as peoples with thick long hair. if anyone could help me i would REALLY appreciate it! i can send you a picture to if necessary. and please, dont tell me that i should be happy with my dreads that they are unique and have character. i love them and im aware of this, i just want them to be full
