a question for hippies..and spiritual travelers.. this title sounds so lame but i dunno what to write here lol

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

oh what a wonderful post...:) i spent 10 years as a hippie wanderer, oh the joy. you have a hippie family/community and we all live day to day together, we all would practice street art, tarot readings, healings, music, dance etc. make our change buy some food to eat and lay under the sky together. love is just the best feeling. if you find interest in this it is a good place to start by getting involved in that community, do not just leave your home, it takes time to become part of a hippie community, and yes you most of the time need a skill to contribute to daily survival, i am still part of a very large hippie community and we all earn our daily money and share everything, now i have a shop i run independently and i pay rent to live in a home, not permanent or ideal for me , i plan to wander again in the near future. im not sure if what i wrote makes any sense, i speak much better in person hehe :) safe travels my friend

Let the journey BEGIN. (input greatly appreciated)

General Questions

i did tnr and ran into a lot of trouble with the forced sectioning and had to rip apart a lot of dreads that would not have naturally formed that way, this was damaging, painful and set me back in progress. Therefore i would recommend neglect/freeform

~Dreadlockshampoo.com's shampoo bar's question~

Dread Products

i have used the nag champa liquid dreadlock wash and goddess shampoo bar.

both fabulous, ......i prefer the bars over the liquid and the nag champa scent..

Water Fasting? Has anyone tried this?

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

would you recommend a 24 hour fast once a week ....

ToTheAnkles! said:

Fasting for short periods (16-24 hours) has all kinds of benefits (protecting brain from alzheimer, slowing cancer growth and better nutrient partitioning) but fasting for longer then that is very bad. It's not going to kill you, but there's healthier things you can do.

very cool.....thanks

I think three days on water should be fine. I fast two days every week and on those days I only drink water. Sundays and Wednesdays I don't eat anything and my body always feels very calm even if I'm hungry for the first hours. I fast because I believe that it's healthy. There's a BBC documentary called Eat, Fast andLive Longer, watch it here: http://www.documentarytube.com/eat-fast-and-live-longer-bbc-horizon...if you are interested in fasting.
