healthier hair?

General Talk

I must admit i don't know what ACV is. So i really doubt it gets used. Is it good...Ill get it haha. oh yes quick question...does the side/frontal area of hair take longer to dread? cause all the ones i have are located right in the back and i have two or three coming along on the back of my neck area. but none in the front or around the side

healthier hair?

General Talk

So of course I only use baking soda and whichever oils I happen to feel at the time..anyway. I had a debate with a friend and he thinks that his hair would be healthier than mine, with his residues and daily hair washing. I'm inclined to think the opposite would be true. Maybe someone here can answer the question. Which would be healthier hair that is treated with shampoos not even organic based, or someone with natural hair only using basic things tobasically keep the scalp healthy

Well i don't think it matters the age. I don't agree with them using things that are harmful to anything.. so i will go find one asap i still forget to do it most of the time..i've gotten used to not having to do anything but wash. thanks for letting me know and yes that was interesting

They seem to be staying small in size but they stay together after countless showers now which is cool. I figured it would take a little time. Especially considering My hair was only about 6-7 inch when i started. Thanks about the salt should it equal the amount of baking soda? more less? I want it to do what it wants to do im mostly avoiding just the huge tangled mess that happens.

Going the distance

Dreading Methods

Hello all, I began the natural dread close to may 20th last year. I have a few dread on the upper back portion of my head i could maybe get a picture but you can't really tell cause my hair is rather wavy. i've read alot and i know it can take along time which im totally ok with but i was wondering if there was maybe something i could do to speed up the process. I use two scoops of BS with a full glass of water, two drops of lavender and a drop of Tea tree oil. I wash maybe once or twice a week, avoid getting it really soaked on the other occasions. It's winter so there isn't much sun but i get it when i can. i don't really dry my hair all that hardcore? umm oh yes and one of the dreads i have. At the base it's two seperate pieces that merge into one about an inch away is that normal? should i pull them apart? Im actually really surprised at how my hair looks i figured it would be alot more messy than it is lol

ok cool thanks alot i looked at drying alot and i just kinda shake my head and put the towel over and pat it down just to get it not to drip then i let it dry rarely i blow dry it. but i also work at taco bell around the fryer alot so i figure it greases my hair a little bit.

well i started natural/neglect umm about 3-4 wks ago i wash once maybe twice a week with BS and 10 drops tea tree oil. (i haven't found a health store to get others yet) but before my wash my hair is frizzy of course and really wavy with a little curl and it seems like it's kinda sectioned itself apart but then i wash i know not to put my fingers in my hair i let it soak for a minute then rinse.. then after im done it seems like the sections have disappeared. i guess really the question would be.. does it matter that my hair gets wavy/curls??? and am i using the BS right. I use 2 tbsp baking soda with 10 drops oil.
