Ya I had to ask.. they were epic. Mine are really starting to come alone, especially a day after I wash them, i used to fear the washing, but now I embrace it because the next day they are all dry and they really lock up!
So, I was at school the other day walking past the book store, and I saw this guy with dreads. Not just dreadlocks, were talking down to his ass, long, thin, blond locks. I had seen him before from afar, and wanted to see what his method was.
So, i get next to him and go "Hey man, those are awesome, what method did you use, TNR, backcomb, wa--" at this moment he interrupted me and said, "I just let it be." He said he asked a jamaican cat in a smoke shop how to do it and he said to dry your hair for a long time after a shower rubbing it on your head for a while the first few days to kick start them.
This guys dreads were LOOONG. he also told me he had trimmed them this year!! I took off my tam and told him not even 8 months and he was diggin' it. It was an awesome moment because right when he said "I let it be"I smiled and said "me too"

He can post whatever the fuck he wants. Who cares wtf other people think of dreadies? I sure don't, so why are all of you so damn caught up. Get over it already

ugh, thanks S.E. I can't wait until i hit my one year mark, they are starting to get frizzy and stuff, but not even close to a dread lol. i will do what I have been doing.. absolutely nothing lol
I see a lot of comments about wraps. Can wraps be used to help stubborn strands of hair lock? I have basically my entire head locked up, some very nice, and others in the fledgling stage, but I can see the locks forming..BUT.. BUT.. the strands by my templed have shown almos zero progress. would a wrap help me out? Is this what wraps are used for, or are they more for pre-existings dreads?
