Dreading Methods

haha each to our own and all that, thats cool by me but u say u get impatient when u had to maintain yr locks when they got longer so wouldn't it of been less hassle in fact no hassle at all if you just let them grow with no maintanence except separating them? It would do my head right in havin to go through that every few weeks. Not knockin you ... just saying man :)

Is using rubberbands in the early stage of dreadlocks really that harmfull?

General Talk

put beads on them instead then. just keep separating them by hand (ripping) if u don want congo's but its highly unlightly that there gonna congo together when yr hair is that short

Good for you! You are very young and have a very nice life ahead, very nice indeed. I actually started mine at the same age you did! If you keep them, your dreads will be like a road map of time, events and people become intertwined in your hair.:)

ahaha sorry but this just make me laugh,

1. somebody shout Bob Marley at you .....don't take that as an insult. He was an incredible man and musicain. Take it as a compliment.

2. Learning to drive .. you should know better and keep yr music low so you can hear compliments being shouted and you and know by the sound of the engine to change gear lol;)

and 3. she was growing 1 dread and it looked beautiful. Hahahaha

Thanks you've just taken my days worries away and made me smile x

Dread On Dread discrimination

General Talk

Cheers bud, I did it quite alot in the 1st week I started out when my hair was really short and ended up breakin hairs, I hadn't seen any comments on it and done it instictevly to get some knotts going. After seeing u had done it and what great dreads u have it just got me curious. Think I'll just leave it now as I dont want break anymore and end up with bald spots.

I wouldnt press on my head to hard , as far as how often like once a day remember to separate them or you will get one big dread.its really not much to it hope this helps

I guess u gotta be carefull not to do it to much and not to hard to create to much friction and break hairs. Did u do it just a few times or was it other a few weeks? I know it was a long time ago

David Dade said:
Thanks man . I started about 3in I couldnt wait for my hair to get longer im not sure on how long i rubbed them for but
as soon as they started making dreads i stopped i also wore a tam which helped out alot.

I can't believe somebody made a bad comment about yr dreads. They look awsome and the way they are meant to be .... natural. I see you started out with wool rubbing. How long was yr hair when you done that and how lond did you do it for? I'm like 4 months neglect and my hair is 4 inch's and wondered if this would help?
