Dreadlocks Shampoo Bars

Dread Maintenance

I may try the acv wash until I can get the soap bars. I do dye my dreads but the dye I use is always semi permanent and conditioning, and also vegan, and my hair is always so super soft afterwards, but I've recently dyed my hair back to my natural hair colour, and now I can use all sorts of different shampoos and washes without shampoo or whatever fading the colour of my hair, so that's good in itself too :) thanks everyone :)

Dreadlocks Shampoo Bars

Dread Maintenance

Ah thank you! The Goddess Shampoo bar sounds like my cup of tea, bit scared at how much it tangles your hair as I have to constantly separate my dreads often, but still sounds amazing, I will probably be trying that out :)

Dreadlocks Shampoo Bars

Dread Maintenance

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could use a little bit of your help :)

I've only ever used liquid shampoo, and a natural soap to clean my dreads, but I just recently had a nosey at http://shop.dreadlockshampoo.com/ , and I'm unsure of which shampoo bar to buy. Can I have any recommendations and how they made your hair feel, etc

I really want my dreads to be a tad softer, and also a tad healthier. :)

Thanks

Ladies with bangs :)

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

Unsure whether this photo is good enough for you or not, but that's where my bangs meet my dreads. My bangs basically stop right after my ear :)

Every time I take a wrap out, some hairs come with it. I have fatter locks, so I need to wring them out a bit before I get out of the shower. Some small hairs are always left on my hands. It's completely normal.

Since locks never fully stop changing shape and size, there will always be hairs that get pushed a pulled closed to the surface of your locks. These are normally the hairs that fall out easier. But when you remove a wrap, you do tend to snap a hair here and there. So long as your locks don't start to unravel and fall apart in pieces, your fine

Thank you, my dreads have never started to unravel or anything. My hair is completely healthy, it's mega soft and shiny, as my fringe is undreaded, but I took out one dread a few weeks ago as it was extremely knotted up with another dread was becoming uncomfortable, and there were no residue in the dreads, the hair is completely healthy and is as soft and shiny as my fringe is, so I know it's not the condition my hair is in, it's probably like you said, about hairs being pushed etc :)

What maintenance do you do? If crochet, then that would be the broken hairs. Otherwise, I don't know. Some one else might have another idea.

dreadlockshampoo.com is the only liquid shampoo I have used, and I recommend 100%.

peace.

I do no maintenance whatsoever and I've never done any, except seperating my dreads, although a lot of the time I leave sepearing them too long so when I do get round to do it the roots are pretty knotted together so I do have to do some 'ripping and tugging' at them a bit

Also, I've been wanting to try a new shampoo, one that's more 'natural'. I prefer shampoo's in liquid form so any recommendations would be a great help too :)

Dread-Worry

Dread Maintenance

Hey guys, so I've been dreadlocked for nearly three years now, and was just wondering something.

Basically I've just washed my hair, and when I emptied the bath there was quite a few short hairs, a few centimeters long, left in the bath from my dreads. I've only just started to worry about this and was wondering if there was a problem.

I of course know it's completely natural for hairs to fall out daily, but I also recently took out a merino wool wrap from one of my dreads, and when I looked on the table I was sat at whilst I was removing it, there was so many tiny little hairs that had fell out. This has happened a few times and it makes me worry that somethings wrong
