1 week Natural

General Questions

try rubbing rather than scratching, headaches are odd, anything else you've changed? I am a migraine sufferer and have only had one since beginning my dread journey so I have to wonder if something else has changed since you started your journey...

A little upset

Help! Save My Dreads

Also, try a looser fitting hat like a tam, it would be a shame to lose them all because of one spot that will grow back in time. They will all dread up before you know it! Know it's not what you want to hear but I hope it helps. :)

veggie vegan omni ital? whats your diet and hows it relate to your dreadiness (if at all)

Dreads and Diets

Everyone's body reacts that way to not eating meat for some time, there is a reason for it, why are we arguing this?

If you don't like seeing SE's POV why don't you start your own site and go there?! There are just some people that I truly believe enjoy arguing rather than opinion sharing ugh....

Am I Alone In This Revelation?

Life Issues Facing Dreads

You are not alone! I don't know how much it has to do with the dreads for me, because I'm only 4 months in...but I had to tell my "best friend" the other day that our friendship wasn't working how it is right now. She was being opinionated, judgemental, patronizing and just plain unfair to me, like I need her to be my life coach or something. Oddly enough, when I expected her to react defensively and get upset, she apologized and tried to understand and has agreed to work with me because our friendship is important to her. In the past I have just let these things go and pretended she hadn't acted how she did toward me, but I finally felt like I had to share my feelings. I feel more open, maybe it is that "time" in my life where I realize the bull sh*t has to go, genuine is it, or maybe these locks really connect to spirituality...

yes i checked the f.a.q.'s lol

Introduce Yourself

you leave it on the hair fora short time, a couple hours or so because if you leave it on too long it can dry the hair too much leaving it weak or even brittle. So a little while before showering is good so you can wash it out.

Misguided racism (well isn't it always?) towards caucasian dreadies...

General Talk

I had to stop reading, it is opinion after opinion, strongly written, push and push back. Everyone agrees with their own opinion. You know the truth about yourself so don't let them bother you! :)

pressing dread issue,... i dont know what to do

Life Issues Facing Dreads

Well it sounds like you already turned around on the issue, but I was gona say how do you know having dreads will decrease your chances until you at least try...? I work in an office where they want us all to dress and be very professional and I was a little worried about my decision to dread, but the worries weren't necessary as I haven't had a problem yet... and I'm still in the messy baby/teen stage. Best of luck to you finding a job! :)

UGH !!!! DANDRUFF HELP !!!

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

you know I almost forgot, I was using DHHQ shampoo for a while and did get a bit of dandruff, then I bought the rosemary suggested by SE and I haven't had a problem since, I also use the b/s wash with a little tea tree oil and some lavendar and as long as I don't use too much b/s I'm good. :)I try to use the cooler setting on my blow dryer too when I have to use it to dry my hair quickly.
