how often do you wash your locks?

Dread Maintenance

oh whoops i misposted haha not too far off but i do 2-3 times a week.

But yea, wash your hair whenever it feels like it needs to, i know some people wash once a week but thats probably the longest most people would want/recommend.

new dreads start with crochet hook

Introduce Yourself

crochet isnt a method we recommend here, its fairly damaging. Saying your mixed, twists might not work good either, go natural, twist n rip or backcomb lightly

Come on little babies, grow already please!!!

General Questions

way to elaborate haha

Aaron"TheLegend" said:
Yeah mine are TnR, and it's only 6 maybe 7 inches long (my hair). But the loops are like 4 inches now. I'm going to start letting them congo.

NaturalWomyn said:
if you start with shorter hair they don't really shrink as much, at least at first, sometimes later on they will. t & r doesn't shrink as much either from what I've seen, although I'm sure they can.
