something everyone should know about locticians and dread salons

Dread Maintenance

I only know one locitian who specialzes in holistic, homemade recipes, and promotes freeforming...but she lives in another state. Dang! But the locitians that I have run into either charge waaaay to much to start dreads or believe in cutting the fuzzies from the locks...yes there is a loctian on youtube who clips her clients fuzzies after she styled it..wtf!

40 USES FOR BAKING SODA!!!

Dread Products

Oh wow glad I saw this thread. I used the baking soda for my underarms and it really works. I was fresh for a couple of days with no ordor. I used vinegar in the past and it worked but I had to keep applying it throughout the day.

Lush shampoo bars?

Introduce Yourself

I bought the Seanik shampoo bar after being highly recommended from a friend on FB. Boy oh boy, I see why she raved about it...this stuff is amazing! I alternate between the shampoo bar and the BS/ACV rinses. So far this is all I need for my locs. I keep the Seanik shampoo bar in a cut off knee-high stocking cause I am afriad the bits of seaweed may get lodged into my dreads. But after I washed my hair with it my locs felt so smooth & tight!

the spirituality of dreading (regardless of religion or lack of)

History and Religious Significance

i agree with this 100%. This is why i cover my locs when i leave my home and even around certain family members. i see my locs as antennas to my ancestors and direct link to the Creator. :) Peace & Blessings to you all
